Before you apply for any of the programs, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
The eligible candidate must score at least 67 points out of 100 on the Nova Scotia point assessment grid. Age, language, work experience, language proficiency, education qualifications, and adaptability are comprised in the point assessment grid.
This program accepts applications through federal government program express entry which was launched in January 2015. Only highly skilled and professional individuals with post-secondary education and qualifications are allowed to apply through this program.
Nova Scotia uses the federal government’s Express Entry program to choose candidates for Permanent Residency. This is a pathway for highly skilled applicants who have worked for a Nova Scotia employer for one year.
Skilled Worker Stream: NSNP will accept the application of those candidates who have a job offer from a Nova Scotia employer. Workers in skilled, semi-skilled, and low-skilled occupation can apply under this program.
Entrepreneur stream: If you wish to set up or acquire a business and permanently settle in Nova Scotia, you can apply through NSNP Entrepreneur stream.
International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream: This NSNP is meant for the graduates who have completed at least two years of full-time study from a recognized Nova Scotia university or a Nova Scotia Community College, and have operated their own business in Nova Scotia for at least one year and wants to permanently settle in the province.

Step 1: Fill out the online application

NSNP is designed for the skilled workers who have already been working in Nova Scotia or have an employment offer. But in case you don't have a job offer, it is still possible for you to move to Nova Scotia.
NSNP facilitates entry of a skilled individual without a job offer if his occupation is in demand and falls under any of the three categories: 'O’, 'A’, or 'B’ as defined by National Occupations Classification.
