Canadian Experience Class is a subcategory of immigration to Canada with the Permanent Residency (PR) status through the Express Entry Program. It is a program for the foreign nationals who are already residing in Canada on temporary visa or work visa etc. It is a stream for those skilled workers who already have Canadian work experience to their credit and would now like to apply for the PR status. It is a very important program for temporary foreign workers looking for Canada permanent resident visa.
Throughout the application process, the candidates can stay in Canada and wait for the allotment of their status. There is an explicit model of selection in this category as per which if the requirements are met then only the candidate is free to enter the pool otherwise not.
Also, one should remember that the experience gained in Canada while being a student or any other sort of self-employment is not considered as an eligible qualifying criterion under this category.

There are additional points for Letter from Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) or provincial nomination. Then the highest ranking candidates from the pool will be shortlisted after a draw is announced for the minimum score.
Further, these above-mentioned criteria don’t account for Quebec province of Canada which has its own selection model for the skilled workers.
Canadian Experience Class can quickly help transition from international students to Permanent residents of Canada. After completing education from a designated learning institute in Canada, the International graduate can apply for the post-graduation work permit (PGWP). It is an open work permit and can be used by the Canadian employers to help meet the economic demand.
