Canada Extends its Immigration Targets for 2021
Canada extends its immigration targets for 2021. A significant role to be played by Express Entry, PNPs Canada, one of the friendliest nations across the world, has extended the plans to welcome more than 1.3 million immigrants between 2018 and 2021. The new admission targets for 2019 and 2020 have gradually been increased to 330,800 and 341,000. For 2021, the target has been fixed at 350,000. The plans became known when Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)’s 2017 report presented in the parliament was made public. According to Canada's Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, Ahmed Hussen, “Under this plan, Canada will welcome more talented workers with the skills and expertise our economy needs, reunite more family members and accommodate more refugees looking to start new lives”. Ontario invites new Express Entry Candidates for Permanent Residence
Ontario continues its strong run in 2018 as it issues a new set of invitations to Express Entry applicants. The invitations have been issued in the Skilled Trades stream as well as the French Speaking Skilled Workers stream. ITA issued in Skilled Trades stream: The Ontario PNP draw which took place on October 19, 2018, invited 439 Express Entry applicants from the Skilled Trades stream to submit their provincial nomination for Canada PR visa. This is the largest number of invitations issued in a single express entry draw thus far in this stream in 2018. It brings the cumulative total of invites to 1445 this year. Since the introduction of Express Entry Program in 2015, millions of candidates have acquired PR in Canada. Out of all the draws held in the year 2018, the recent draw held on 3 October has seen an enormous hike in the number of invites sent to Express Entry candidates. Ontario invites more French-Speaking Skilled Workers in Express Entry Program
44 new applicants got lucky in this week’s draw after Ontario issued Express Entry candidates invitations through French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream. The Ontario Provincial Nominee Program (OINP) has been inviting French speaking candidates every week this year amounting the total number of invitation to 1065 after the latest draw. The latest OINP draw was held on September 13, exactly seven days after the last draw which was on September 6. While 44 applicants were selected in the latest draw, 15 applicants were chosen in the draw before that. According to the OINP, those who were issued Notification of Interest (NOI) in the latest draw submitted their Express Entry Profiles between January 1, 2018 and September 13, 2018.
