Canada Express Entry Draw announced on 1st May 2019 with the CRS cut off of 450 points , Master Graduate Stream reopened by Ontario , Saskatchewan has invited 202 applicants in seven occupations, The Parent and Grandparent program has completed issuing invitations.
Ontario continues its strong run in 2018 as it issues a new set of invitations to Express Entry applicants. The invitations have been issued in the Skilled Trades stream as well as the French Speaking Skilled Workers stream.
ITA issued in Skilled Trades stream:
The Ontario PNP draw which took place on October 19, 2018, invited 439 Express Entry applicants from the Skilled Trades stream to submit their provincial nomination for Canada PR visa. This is the largest number of invitations issued in a single express entry draw thus far in this stream in 2018. It brings the cumulative total of invites to 1445 this year.
The Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) provides access to those Express Entry candidates who are presently living in the province and working. The candidates are supposed to indicate their interest in Ontario or any other territory or province while creating their Express Entry program. If these candidates have been working in any of the skilled trades listed by Canada's National Occupational Classification (NOC) and have a minimum of 12 months of experience, then they qualify for the OINP.
The province further screens the candidates based on different eligibility criteria. The Canadian Experience Class is one of the 3 categories for economic immigration in the country and those candidates selected from the Skilled Trades stream should meet this requirements in this category as well. Alongside candidates must have a minimum of CLB 5 language proficiency in English or French.
Ontario PNP does not require candidates to have any minimum CRS score in Express Entry. Those who are selected by the province will be awarded an additional 600 points and thus promoted in the ranking. This helps them receive ITA for PR visa.
ITA issued to French-Speaking Skilled Workers:
In the October 19 draw, 39 invitations were issued by Ontario in the French Speaking Skilled Workers stream. These candidates are supposed to meet all the eligibility criteria mentioned for the above stream along with CLB 7 in French and CLB 6 in French.
All these candidates are selected with a vision to contribute to the economic growth of Ontario.
