44 new applicants got lucky in this week’s draw after Ontario issued Express Entry candidates invitations through French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream.

The Ontario Provincial Nominee Program (OINP) has been inviting French speaking candidates every week this year amounting the total number of invitation to 1065 after the latest draw.

The latest OINP draw was held on September 13, exactly seven days after the last draw which was on September 6. While 44 applicants were selected in the latest draw, 15 applicants were chosen in the draw before that.

According to the OINP, those who were issued Notification of Interest (NOI) in the latest draw submitted their Express Entry Profiles between January 1, 2018 and September 13, 2018.

However, one must keep in mind that receiving NOI does not mean you are qualified for French Speaking Skilled Worker Program. You should meet a certain eligibility criteria in order to be able to apply to OINP.

Here are the eligibility requirements for OINP:

  • The candidates must have the proficiency Level 7 in French and Level 6 in English under Canadian Language Benchmark. The language test result must come from IELTS for English and TEF for French.
  • They must have minimum level of work experience in National Occupation Classification NOC level O, A, B, or C.
  • They must possess Canadian bachelor's, master, or PhD degree or Education Credential Assessment report prepared by designated organization to prove that your foreign educational degree is equivalent to Canadian Education System.
  • They must have sufficient funds to sustain themselves/their family in the province.

Upon receiving invitation, candidates have 45 days to submit their application for the OINP under this stream. Once your application is approved, you will be notified of your nomination which can be used to apply to IRCC for Canada permanent residency.
