Started in 1998, Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program has welcomed over 130,000 immigrants over the past 2 decades.
The younger generation from around the world seems to be flocking in to migrate to Canada, the dreamland of the 21st century. It all began with Canada’s first Provincial Nominee Program MPNP in 1998.
As Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program celebrates its 20th year anniversary, it is one of the milestones in the history of IRCC. It is noteworthy that till date Manitoba has welcomed more than 130,000 immigrants into the country and provided them a bright future.
The province of Manitoba was the first one to nominate immigrants for PR on the basis of specific skills and experience to enhance their economic and social development. Since 1998, most of the provinces in Canada have walked in the footsteps of MPNP and created their own provincial nominee programs. Millions of immigrants have acquired PR and have started calling Canada their home, thanks to PNPs.
In the past 2 decades, this province has seen immense growth. MPNP has generated a spectacular boom in the economic growth both by contributions of the skilled workers as well as investors. More than $308 millions have been invested by immigrants, without which the GDP of the province would have been 30% lower.
90% of the immigrants get placed in good jobs in Manitoba within the 1st year and prefer to stay in the same province thanks to the conducive social environment. A positive growth in the population of Manitoba is also due to the immigrants coming in since 2006.
Express Entry manages the profiles of candidates for Canada’s three main economic immigration categories — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class. Since introduction in 2015, Express Entry Programme for Canada has become very popular and is extensively used by applicants.
MPNP offers a pathway to nominate Express Entry candidates with their kith and kin (relatives) already residing in Manitoba. It favors those applicants who have a relevant work experience in an occupation that the province considers in-demand, among other criteria.
Since the Express Entry activation/stream activation in January 2018, MPNP has issued 1,155 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination to eligible Express Entry candidates.
If you are interested in immigrating to Manitoba using Manitoba’s Express Entry Stream, you must create a valid Express Entry profile and submit an Expression of Interest to the MPNP. Priority will be given to applicants who have relatives already settled in Manitoba. Also if the applicant’s spouse has a high language proficiency in English and French the same will go in the favor of the applicant. These are essential to get quick placement in occupations that are in demand.
