The Express Entry pool shows most applicants are eligible under FSWP and CEC because of a pause in draws. About 80% of total immigration candidates waiting in federal express entry pool are from FSWP program. The Federal Skilled Worker Program and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates in the Express Entry pool are high because of the lack of draws that has targeted these applicants. Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) offered the breakdown of candidates in the Express Entry pool on January 4. Right after the first Express Entry draw of the year, IRCC selected Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates only. A large number of appellants were invited to the Provincial nomination draw of Ontario held on 11 Jan. Prince Edward Island is the only province that has come out with the PNP schedule for the public. PEI PNP will conduct 12 draws in 2022. PEI has released its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw schedule for the rest of the year. It is out in the open with the province as it has released its draw schedule ahead of time. Except in 2020, When the pandemic had hit the country, the Prince Edward Island province had a habit of releasing its PNP schedule to the public. Since 2020 was an uncertain time, the schedule was not announced. As per the schedule, there are 12 draws that are expected this year. The latest express entry draw was a PNP-specific draw and selected 392 applicants to apply for Permanent Residency.  The most recent Express Entry draws of Canada came out on 5 Jan. It was a  Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) specific draw that required a score of 808. As the PNP is nominated, applicants are allotted a score of 600 additional points on getting the nomination. Thus, the selection score is always set at a high number. Ideally, as per the score requirement, the applicants need 208 points against their PNP. For now, the express entry applicants are selected on the basis of NOC Skill Type 0, A, and B but this classification is expected to change soon when TEER comes into effect in 2022. The new Express Entry draw conducted the biggest PNP draw, where a total of 1032 applicants were selected for Permanent residency on 10 December, 2021. The new express entry draw announced on December 10, was a big one and has invited 1032 PNP candidates. The candidates invited are from the provincial nominee program only, just as it has been since the start of 2021, and they are selected with the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score requirement of 698.
