The applicants can apply for the Permanent Residency or Work Permit visa after the expiry of the PGWP. Here are the details how you can do that.

After your Post-Graduation Work Permit(PGWP) has expired, the applicants can take a number of routes depending on their personal situation to stay in Canada.

The PGWP is a one-time deal offered by the IRCC, and there are no extensions. It is as long as the study program. Thus, after one year of study, the appellant can get one year of PGWP which can be valid for a maximum of three years.

A PGWP will allow the applicant to work for any employer located anywhere in Canada. However, if you wish to apply for Canadian immigration,  then it is best to start looking for a skilled worker. The skilled workers can start choosing an occupation as per the National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill levels 0, A, and B. There is a new immigration system that will come into effect from 2022, and the new classification system will have five digits instead of four.

The immigration system for people with occupation who have work experience in a skilled occupation then can start their permanent residency through -
