There were 463 provincial nominees selected in the latest Express Entry draw on August 18. The minimum CRS score of selection was set at 751 points. It is fairly normal to ask for a high score in PNP selection since the provincial nomination itself is worth 600 points. In the last PNP draw, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) asked for a high score of 760 points.

The Express entry draw was a PNP-specific draw and tie-break rule that was applied before April 13, 2021, at 16:29:29 UTC. The tie-break rule is an administrative requirement used to select applicants who have the same score requirement.
There have been 16 PNP draws in 2021
So far, in 2021, IRCC has selected only two types of applicants from the Express Entry pool: Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
The reason for such selection is pandemic-related. Most of the PNP and CEC applicants are already living in Canada. Thus, the labor force gaps can be filled without breaking the Corona portals and inviting many applicants into the domain. The Canadian government needs to work to support its immigration goals.
