In the latest provincial draw of British Columbia, which took place this month, there are 91 candidates invited. The April 21 Draw was conducted under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP), and the job offers were given to the technology sector through the weekly draws.
The candidates in the latest draw were selected through the skilled workers and International Graduate subcategories in the skill immigration and Express Entry British Columbia streams.
The minimum score required for selection was 85 points.
The immigration to British Columbia is point-based, just like for all the other provinces of Canada. The point system used is Skill Immigration Registration System(SIRS). The points determine whether the candidate is suitable for immigration or nor. The score is based on a lot of factors like age, language, work experience, and education, etc.
The shortlisted candidates are allotted a time of 30 days to apply from the date of the invitation, and they can submit an application via the BC PNP Online Registration system. An ITA doesn’t guarantee approval for nomination.
To be considered for the BC PNP, the candidates should have a full-time job offer from an employer in the province.
