The minimum CRS score requirement for the draw saw a drop by three points, and the required score now stands at 469 CRS points. It means the applicants who scored 469 points or above they are shortlisted for Canada PR status. With this draw, the total number of Invites sent by Canada this year stands at 85,300.

The frequency of the Express Entry Draw by IRCC has increased with this draw as the last draw was conducted on 11th December, and this time instead of a regular 15 days gap, the draw is conducted after an eight days gap only. When draws happen on short intervals, then few candidates with high scores enter the cut. There is also a drop in score requirement by three points as the latest CRS score now required is 469. A job offer is not needed for the applicants to be shortlisted for this draw. However, meeting the CRS calculator score requirement is important. The highest-ranked candidates can apply for the permanent residency.

The target for the Express entry program for admission has seen an increase of 85,800, which is an increase from 81,400. The admission target for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is also set to increase from 61,000 to 67,800 in 2020. For those applicants selected in PNP, they are eligible for 600 bonus points in the Express Entry program.
