Ontario Province has selected nurses, investment managers, and accountants from the Express Entry pool in the latest provincial nominee draw.
On March 2, 2021, The Ontario Province conducted the Provincial Nomination draw, in which 754 Express Entry candidates got selected for nomination. The selected appellants had the Express Entry system profile, and those with the score of Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Points between 463 and 467 were given the ITA.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) selects applicants in the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream (HCP). These targeted occupations were very similar to Ontario’s previous HCP draw of February 2. The applicants who meet these occupation list requirements should also have one year of work experience to get the provincial nomination. Those who will be selected in this Express Entry-linked PNP they will receive the ITA.
Ontario invited 6,716 Express Entry candidates for a provincial nomination through the HCP stream in 2020. It was one of the largest proportion of all the Express-Entry linked PNP nominations that were issued by Ontario last year.
Express Entry candidates who get the nomination from a province are eligible for additional 600 CRS points in the overall score calculation. This serves as an assurance that they will receive the ITA in the subsequent Express Entry draw.
