Ontario PNP invited 754 Express Entry Applicants in Targeted Occupations on 2 Mar, 2021

Ontario Province has selected nurses, investment managers, and accountants from the Express Entry pool in the latest provincial nominee draw.

On March 2, 2021, The Ontario Province conducted the Provincial Nomination draw, in which 754 Express Entry candidates got selected for nomination. The selected appellants had the Express Entry system profile, and those with the score of Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Points between 463 and 467 were given the ITA.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) selects applicants in the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream (HCP). Through this Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), The skilled foreign workers get the opportunity to get a strong start to their Career in Ontario, and they can make Canada’s most sort after province their new home.

In the latest Ontario draw, the appellants were invited from the following ten occupations:

• Banking, credit, and investment managers (NOC 0122);
• Advertising, marketing, and public relations managers (NOC 0124);
• Other business services managers (NOC 0125);
• Corporate sales managers (NOC 0601);
• Financial auditors and accountants (NOC 1111);
• Financial and investment analysts (NOC 1112);
• Human resources professionals (NOC 1121);
• Professional occupations workers in business management consulting (NOC 1122);
• Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses (NOC 3012); and
• Business development officers and marketing researchers and consultants (NOC 4163).

These targeted occupations were very similar to Ontario’s previous HCP draw of February 2. The applicants who meet these occupation list requirements should also have one year of work experience to get the provincial nomination. Those who will be selected in this Express Entry-linked PNP they will receive the ITA.

Ontario invited 6,716 Express Entry candidates for a provincial nomination through the HCP stream in 2020. It was one of the largest proportion of all the Express-Entry linked PNP nominations that were issued by Ontario last year.

How can Provincial Nominations make Express Entry candidates get ITAs?

Express Entry candidates who get the nomination from a province are eligible for additional 600 CRS points in the overall score calculation. This serves as an assurance that they will receive the ITA in the subsequent Express Entry draw.

In 2021, The IRCC has held a lot of PNP-only draws, as Canada is aiming to meet its immigration targets this year by transitioning temporary workers into permanent residents.
