Ontario PNP Draw Invited 486 Express Entry Candidates for Provincial Nomination

The recent provincial nomination draw of Ontario selected 486 applicants from 18 targeted occupations including Nurses, managers, and human resource professionals on 6 October.

After a two-month hiatus, Ontario province held a new Human Capital Priorities Stream (HCP) stream. There were applicants invited from 18 targeted occupations that included nurses and Human resource managers. The Ontario provincial draw selected.

Four hundred eighty-six candidates for a provincial nomination. The appellants are expected to meet the provincial eligibility requirements. The latest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) aligns with the Express Entry system, and selected appellants are entitled to an automatic 600 points score in the federal score calculation.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has selected the Express Entry candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System score between 463 and 467.

1. NOC 0114 - Other administrative services managers
2. NOC 0122 - Banking, credit, and other investment managers
3. NOC 0124 - Advertising, marketing, and public relations managers
4. NOC 0125 - Other business services managers
5. NOC 0211 - Engineering managers
6. NOC 0311 - Managers in health care
7. NOC 0601 - Corporate sales managers
8. NOC 0631 - Restaurant and food service managers
9. NOC 0711 - Construction managers
10. NOC 0731 - Managers in transportation
11. NOC 0911 - Manufacturing managers
12. NOC 1121 - Human resources professionals
13. NOC 1122 - Professional occupations in business management consulting
14. NOC 2161 - Mathematicians, statisticians and actuaries
15. NOC 3012 - Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses
16. NOC 3211 - Medical laboratory technologists
17. NOC 3231 - Opticians
18. NOC 3233 - Licensed practical nurses

The candidates are expected to have at least one year of work experience in one of these occupations to get the provincial nomination. With this Draw, the Ontario province has so far invited 4,851 immigration candidates under this stream. This is way more than 2020, in which Ontario invited 6,716 Express Entry candidates. HCP is one of the most popular streams of Ontario.

Can Express Entry Candidates get ITAs after Provincial Nominations?

Yes! Of course! The appellants who get selected for provincial nomination through the express entry linked stream are eligible for 600 additional scores in the federal score calculation. This guarantees that selected ones' will receive an Invitation to Apply(ITA) in the next Express Entry draw.

Further, in the pandemic time, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has been holding PNP-only Draw; thus, there is a right chance of selection of nominated applicants.

In 2020, Canada announced all-program draws in the latter half of the year.
