Manitoba has selected 1,292 candidates so far in 2021. In the recent draw, there were 355 Canadian immigration candidates selected for nomination.
On March 25, Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited 355 Canadian immigration candidates for nomination. The applicants were selected from the three streams - Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and Skilled Workers Overseas. To be selected, the applicants required to submit an Expression of Interest score of the following:
Manitoba Province has many immigration programs to attract international talent. The Provincial government manages its immigration through MPNP. The Manitoba province can’t give out permanent residency status, but they can help an application by issuing a nomination.
To be considered for the nomination, you need to register an Expression of Interest with the MPNP. This can help the applicant receive an LAA through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams.
Manitoba province scores the applicant out of 1,000 based on the human capital factors and also the connections to the province. The Skilled Workers Overseas Category and Skilled Workers in Manitoba streams help the skilled workers immigrate and province to meet the labor market demand.
The selected Candidates overseas should have connections to Manitoba, which can be through close family ties, previous experience in the province, or the invitation through one of Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives. It is not imperative to be living in Manitoba at the time of your application to be eligible.
In the Skilled Workers in Manitoba category, it is mandatory to have a full-time Continuous job offer from a provincial employer. International graduates candidates who have completed education in Manitoba can receive an LAA under the International Education Stream. For this, they need to show that they have in-demand skills.
Express Entry System is a highly popular pathway for skilled workers to receive a permanent residence invitation. There are three streams under this system, and the appellants are assessed as per the point-based Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS); the factors calculating are age, work experience, education, and language skills.
The high scoring candidates selected in the draw and the shortlisted appellants are eligible for additional 600 CRS points in the next Express Entry draw.
