The latest draw of Manitoba selected 459 applicants for a provincial nomination in Skilled workers, Skilled Workers Overseas, and International Education Stream.

The New Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) selected 459 immigration candidates in three immigration streams - Skilled workers, Skilled Workers Overseas, and International Education Stream.

The Point score are as follows:

  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba - 388 invitations with a minimum score of 375;
  • Skilled Workers Overseas - 39 invitations with a minimum score of 716; and
  • International Education Stream - 37 invitations with no score requirement.
  • Express Entry - 94 invitations

With the 21 October draw, the total number of applicants invited by Manitoba province has reached 9150.

About Express Entry

Express Entry is a point-based federal system of selection that helps the skilled workers in three streams - the Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.

The applicants interested in immigration were selected on the basis of point scores. The Comprehensive Ranking System tool uses factors like age, work experience, education, and language skills to evaluate the candidates' ability. The High scoring applicants get selected for immigration.

Manitoba Immigration Programs

Manitoba has immigration programs that help select skilled workers through Manitoba PNP. The applicants are supported for immigration with these programs.

If you want to get a nomination from Manitoba, then you will have to register an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the MPNP. This puts you in a pool of applicants, and when selected, you will be entitled to an LAA through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams.

Manitoba Province selects the high-scoring applicants and ranks them out of 1,000 points. The points are calculated as per the human capital factors and their connections to the province.

The Skilled Workers Overseas Category and Skilled Workers in Manitoba categories help the skilled workers relocate to Manitoba province based on the labor market needs. The applicants in the overseas category should have a connection to Manitoba through the likes of close family ties, or an invitation through one of Manitoba's Strategic Recruitment Initiatives.

On the other hand, the Skilled Workers in Manitoba need to have a full-time job offer from a provincial employer. The international graduates' category is for those who have completed their education in Manitoba and have skills in a high-demand job.
