Alberta Province invited 294 Express Entry Candidates

The province of Alberta sent invited to 294 Express entry candidates with the minimum CRS score of 400. The draw was announced on 28 August, and it was more than double of the last provincial draw of Alberta of 15 August in which 121 express entry candidates were invited.

With this last draw, The ITAs issued by Alberta province has reached 5,236 with the course of 23 draws this year. The applicants who are selected in the draw are also eligible for 600 bonus points in the express entry Program.

The Alberta Express Entry Stream pathway provides Permanent residency to the applicants who can support the economic development in Alberta through their occupation. Currently, there is no list of eligible occupations but a minimum CRS score requirement for selection. The CRS score requirement has been as low as 300 Points on four occupations since the creation of stream in June 2018.

To be selected for the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) Express Entry Stream applicant should:

  • Have a Job offer or work experience in Alberta
  • Degree from Canadian post-secondary institute
  • Some relatives living in Alberta

Manitoba Province has sent invites to 360 candidates in Skilled Workers and International Graduates

The new Expression of Interest (EOI) draw of Manitoba Province invited 360 applicants from the Skilled workers, Skilled workers Overseas, and International Education Stream category. The draw was announced on 15 August, but the details were published recently.  Out of the 360 applicants, there were 32 selected candidates from the Express Entry Program.

With the latest MPNP draw issued this year, the total invites has reached 5207, and most of the selection has happened in the skilled worker's category.

The candidate’s selection was as follows:

  • Skilled workers in Manitoba – 241
  • Skilled workers Overseas – 83
  • International Education stream – 36

There are three streams under the International Education stream – Career employment pathway, Graduate Internship pathway, and Student Entrepreneur Pathway. Also, there were different minimum CRS score requirements in the streams with a score of 542 for Skilled Workers and a score of 685 for Skilled Workers Overseas

A new pathway for Physicians in Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia needs more doctors. Thus the Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program (NSNP) has been strategized to meet the needs of Labour Market Priorities Stream by opening streams for General practitioners, Family practitioners, and Specialist Physicians.

For selection, the applicant should have a job offer from the Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) and commit to living in the province for a minimum of two years. At present, there are 124 positions available, and they range as per the specialization and the regions. To be considered in the stream, the applicant must have an express entry profile. The eligible candidates will receive a Letter of Interest (LOI) through express entry.
