The latest draw invited 557 PNP candidates in the Canada Express Entry Draw. This takes the ITAs sent so far in this year to 54,357. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score required was 687.
The IRCC announced the Latest Canada Express Entry Draw on 22 July 2020, in which 557 Express Entry Candidates were invited for permanent residency. It was a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) specific draw where the applicants with the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score with 687 were selected. It is the lowest CRS score requirement in a PNP Specific draw so far.
The Key highlights of the draw:
Since it was a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) specific draw it means the candidates should have a score of at least 87 to be selected in this draw because the applicants with PNP nomination are viable for 600 Bonus points.
It is the 9th PNP-specific draw since Canada's borders have been closed due to the pandemic. Since March, there has been a pattern in targeting candidates through the provincial nominations or Canadian Experience class category. The first all program draw since the pandemic was held in this month earlier.
The CEC candidates who are targeted on the express entry draw have a much lower CRS score cut off. CEC draw cut off has been steadily declining since March 2020.
There was a tie break rule of the draw, and the date and time were 11 November 2019 at 8:51:21 UTC. It means applicants who had submitted the profile before this date and time and matched the CRS score of 687 they received the ITA.
Despite a movement away from the all program-specific draw, the Canadian government has been able to meet its immigration targets of 85,800 ITAs in 2020. As there have already been 54,357 ITA being sent so far, which is way more than 45,400 ITA sent around the same time in 2019.
