The British Columbia's recent provincial nomination draw invited 302 applicants in the draw held on 18 August 2020. The candidates who got selected for the ITA are eligible for permanent residency status.

The invitations were given to candidates in Skilled workers and International graduates categories of British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). The Skilled candidates were invited in the Entry-level and Semi-skilled workers category both. The minimum score requirement for selection ranged between 76 to 98 in five Express Entry British Columbia and Skilled immigration categories.
To get an Invitation in the EEBC category, the candidate must be registered under the Federal Express Entry System and The Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). The candidate who gets selected for the provincial nomination are also eligible for 600 points in the federal express entry system.
British Columbia province has held three tech draws in August so far, including a tech draw that was held on 11 August 2020, where 52 candidates were invited. The Tech pilot category of British Columbia was created in 2017 to meet the labor market demand in the Tech Sector. The goal is to help meet the labor market demand. Owing to the success of the program, the tech pilot has been extended until June 2021.
Tech pilot candidates are exempted from Permanent full-time job offer requirements applicable to most of the Immigration categories under the BC PNP.
