The Coronavirus pandemic has brought about a lot of restrictions in travel, and Canada international travel is still very restricted. However, it also has a high immigration level target set for the year 2021, where 401,000 new immigrants are expected. Thus, IRCC plans to meet the ambitious target by converting temporary residents into permanent ones.
The selected CEC applicants are expected to have at least one year of full-time work experience in a skilled occupation.
With this latest draw, the ITAs issued in 2021 have reached 49,124 already, nearly half of its target of new Express Entry candidates to admit in 2021.
