British Columbia issued 18 Invitations under the Entrepreneur Immigration - Regional Pilot. A score of 107 was asked for a selection.

Latest British Columbia Immigration Draw invited 18 Entrepreneurs

In the latest draw of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), there were 18 Invitations issued to applicants through the Entrepreneur Immigration - Regional Pilot on 6th April 2020. The minimum qualifying score in this draw was 107, which is the lowest score asked by a province since October 2019.

It was the fifth draw of British Columbia in which 62 invitations had been issued so far. The Entrepreneur Immigration Stream is for experienced business people who wish to get Canada PR and invest in a commercially viable business.

There are two entrepreneur Streams, and the applicants can choose to immigrate in either of the two streams-

• The Entrepreneur Immigration – Base
• The Entrepreneur Immigration — Regional Pilot

In The Entrepreneur Immigration - Base category, the applicants who are interested in establishing, starting, or expanding an existing business they can apply through this category. In The Entrepreneur Immigration - Regional Pilot, the applicants in the regional communities can establish new businesses that meet the community development needs. The regional pilot was started in 2019, and it is created to help the communities actively participate with foreign entrepreneurs whose business concepts align well with economic priorities.

To be able to utilize this, the foreign entrepreneur should have visited the Community and given a business proposal to the designated Pilot representative, and a referral form needs to be submitted at the time of registration. The Personal net worth and Investment opportunities are less as compared in the Base category.

The core eligible requirements in the BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration - Regional Pilot include:

• Must have visited the Community at least once
• Should have a minimum of $100,000 for investment
• The applicant should have a personal net worth of $300,000
• The individual should have a minimum of 51 % ownership
• Have at least three years of experience as an active business owner and four years as a senior manager in the last five years
• Create at least one new job for a Canadian Citizen or a PR holder
