In the world of immigration of British Columbia, the latest provincial nomination draw invited 284 permanent residents candidates. The minimum score requirement of a selection of candidates was set between 85 and 110 points. But this is not all; there were also changes made in the entrepreneur category for immigration.
The 284 invitations were sent through the Express Entry and Skill Immigration category. The skills immigration category is for skilled and semi-skilled workers and includes those candidates whose occupation is in high demand in the province.
BC PNP (British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program) has been active when it comes to inviting nominations, and in 2020 so far, there have been 585 invitations being sent in the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration category. Out of these, 18 entrepreneurs are through the entrepreneur immigration base category and seven through the entrepreneur Immigration regional pilot category.
The changes have been introduced in the entrepreneur category of British Columbia, and these changes have come in effect from Jan 29, 2020. Thus, the applications which are already in processing will not be affected.
