British Columbia has announced yet another draw in which a large number of applicants made the cut. There were 430 applicants selected in different streams of Skilled workers, the International Graduate and Entrepreneur stream.
The latest provincial draw of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) was announced on 1st September 2020, in which 430 applicants got selected for the provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence. The occupations in tourism, hospitality, retail, and personal services were excluded from this Draw owing to the COVID 19 pandemic situation. The Applicants were selected from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate stream - Express Entry BC (EEBC), Skills Immigration (SI), and Entrepreneur streams.
The Key Highlights of the Draw - 1st September 2020
Only those candidates are selected in the Express Entry BC (EEBC), who have a valid profile in the Federal Express Entry Program and should also be registered under the BC’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). In the skilled candidates, there were both skilled and semi-skilled workers invited for immigration.
The minimum score requirement ranged from 76 to 98 points for the selection of applicants. Let us look below for the score demarcation in detail-

For the Entrepreneur stream, the invites were sent in Base Category Stream and Regional Pilot Stream. There were six invitations in the Base Category, with the score as low as 126. The base category invites senior managers or business owners. In the Entrepreneur Immigration - Regional Pilot Stream, new businessmen are attracted to start an enterprise in Smaller and regional communities. The score of selection in this stream was 128.
Prior to this, the earlier draw of British Columbia was a Tech Pilot draw in which 72 applicants were selected.
