Alberta Province is continuing with the processing of applications with temporary measures in place. The province has been high on nominations and is expected to meet its immigration target for the year 2020.
Alberta Immigration Nominee Program(AINP) has introduced the temporary measure in the wake of the COVID 19 pandemic and has continued to accept and process the applications. Now the copies of all the required documents and their authenticity and verification is happening over the phone calls or emails.
Under such conditions, the applications which are incomplete are also getting accepted, in case the applications are-
The incomplete applications can be put on hold for 60 days from the date of mailing, and after 45 days, it can be determined if the hold will extend for another 60 days or not for a maximum of six months.
Selection draw will continue as usual, and applicants who are living and working in Alberta will be considered for nomination. For the Nomination filing, the applicant should meet the following requirements-
For those applicants who don’t have a recent employment history in the province, they will not get their application processed any further.
The Alberta Opportunity stream permits the work from home applicants also and if the candidates are undertaking only some of the job duties, then they also are eligible for nomination as long as they are ready to return to their normal job after the pandemic is over.
