The providence of Ontario began this year on a high note with 2019’s first Express Entry Draw. A total of 1493 invitations was issued to candidates applying for Canada PR. The lowest CRS score to be selected under this draw is 439.

The Human Capital Priorities Stream gives additional access to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). It makes provisions for OINP to search the Federal Express Entry pool for applicants who qualify according to the provincial eligibility criteria. These candidates will be issued a Notification of Interest (NOI) by Ontario, which will highlight them in the pool.

An additional 600 points would be added to the candidate’s CRS score if their application meets all the requirements laid down by the province. With the addition of these 600 points, the candidates from the Federal Express Entry pool will propel in their ranking and shall be assured of getting an ITA from Canadian Government. This is a smooth way to acquire Canada PR visa for applicants.

The latest draw held by Ontario invited a total of 1493 applicants from the Express Entry pool to apply for Canada PR. The minimum Express Entry ranking score in this week’s Human Capital Priorities draw was 439. This score would be raised to 1039 if a nomination from Ontario is received. Thanks to the additional 600 points as he/she receives the Notification of Interest. Thus the candidate will be able to surpass the other applicants and rank higher in the pool.

The Human Capital Priorities Stream resumed the general draws in 2019 with this current draw. The general draw or the non-targeted draw does not require the candidates to have a permanent job offer in Ontario for them to apply for Canada PR. It also does not make French language proficiency mandatory for the applicants. An updated guide to the stream released in December of 2018 mentions that candidates with job offers of French language proficiency might be prioritized during a draw.

In 2018, a total of 3719 invitations was issued under the Human Capital Priorities Stream, making it one of the largest streams in OINP. Candidates who would like to get selected under this stream should first create their profile in the Express Entry System. Based on the demand and economic policies, the Province of Ontario will select its candidates.
