Three Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) Streams have invited applicants

On 25 April 2019, the province of Manitoba has issued invites to 299 applications through Expression of interest (EOI) which has increased the number of applications sent invites in this year to 4000. 2019 is a good year for the Manitoba Province migrations as the province has the invitations have been quite frequent, and migrations have been highly active.

The latest MPNP Draw has invited applications through three subcategories – Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education, and Skilled Workers Overseas stream. The applicants invited through Skilled Workers stream were 208, through the International Education stream were 25 and through Skilled Workers overseas were 66 applicants.

The applications that were invited through the Skilled Workers Overseas they were directly invited through strategic Recruitment initiative. Also, there are lowest scores requirements for each category for selection for Skilled workers the minimum CRS score required in the EOI draw was 510 and for the Skilled Workers Overseas, the minimum CRS score required was 632. Moreover, in the Skilled worker's stream those candidates who were working in regulated occupations and were licensed to work in Manitoba they were selected for the 25 April Draw. The number of applications invited to Manitoba through these three streams has reached 3901 for this year.

Manitoba province invites applications as per the labor market demand, and a lot of economic immigration happen through different streams. All those candidates who are selected for the Manitoba province they are eligible for 600 extra points in the Express Entry program.

The specific in-demand occupations in Canada

CIC in the latest article has shared information on the popular occupation in Specific regions of Canada and how these work occupations are best options to migrate for skilled workers with skills and experience. The article also highlights how certain occupation can be the most model to migrate in Specific line of work in certain provinces.

The federal and provincial model of Canada works in a way which entitles the candidates to have candidates migrate who have good skills and good work experience to their credit. The eligible occupation list is the National Occupational Classification (NOC) list with Skill Type O, A, and B. Where Skill Level O is Managerial, Skill Level A is professional, and Skill Level B is technical. In the case of provincial nomination program (PNP), there are many provinces in Canada who operate of the Expression of Interest (EOI) model and once selected all the provinces offer an advantage of 600 bonus points in the express entry program calculation.

The article clearly mentioned how British Columbia has a preference for Tech Pilot stream which highlights the preference for technical occupations in the region, there are 29 in-demand tech occupations in the region and they all ask for good work experience for selection.  Similarly, labor market Priorities stream is a popular stream for Nova Scotia province and since its introduction in August 2018, it has targeted a lot of Early childhood educators and accountants.

This overview provided by the CIC will be highly beneficial for the aspiring candidates who are looking to migrate to Canada and will help them choose a province as per their skills, capabilities and educational attributes.

IRCC has invited applicants through Parent and Grandparent program

Canada insists that families stay together. Thus there is a target of 20,000 applications to be invited by the end of 2019 through the parent and Grandparent program. Those applicants who are above 18 years old and hold a Canada PR status or a Canadian citizen are eligible to sponsor a candidate to Canada under the parent and grandparent program.

IRCC this time has accepted applications which were submitted before Jan 28, 2019. On 24 April, the first round of applications was issued. The people who are willing to sponsor candidates to Canada through this program should fill the Interest to sponsor form. And the interested candidates who receive the ITA they should submit two complete applications – application to become a sponsor and application from the parents or grandparents to become Canada PR visa. It is important that the applications should be received by the IRCC at the same time.
