The first draw of Prince Edwards Island was announced on 16 January 2020 in which a total number of 123 Express Entry candidates were selected. The PEI was issued in the Express Entry, Labour Impact, and Business Impact categories.
The 123 selected candidates demarcation was as follows in the latest draw -
Out of 123 candidates, 110 candidates were invited in the Express Entry and Labor Impact categories. For the candidates to be considered for nomination, there should be a separate Expression of Interest (EOI) issued to PEI PNP. There was no breakdown available of the number of candidates available for the minimum EOI score requirement.
In the labour Impact category, the candidates with the valid job offer were shortlisted, and there is a need for a support letter from an employer in PEI, which is considered essential for selection.

The minimum required score in the Labor impact for the selection of candidates was 125.
There were only 13 applications issued under the Business Impact: Work Permit Stream category, and the work permit is issued to candidates only who wish to operate a business in PEI. The shortlisted candidates in the Prince Edward Island nomination are also eligible for 600 bonus points in the express entry system.
