In the wake of the COVID - 19 virus, Prince Edward Island postpones the monthly Draw to be held in March. Now, the tentative date of the Draw is April 16.
The PEI has taken a prudent step against COVID -19 that will help reduce immigration traffic. Prince Edward Island will not be issuing invitations for provincial nominations, and there will be a rescheduling of the March 19 Expression of Interest (EOI) draw. The new date of the Draw is not out yet, but the next draw schedule is set for April 16 tentatively.
As per the usual trend, there is one draw each month by Prince Edward Island Province, and these Draws are as per the anticipated schedule. There are 276 invitations issued in January and February, and a large number of immigrations were expected in March as well.
The monthly Draw considers the three subcategories of Prince Edwards Island:
PEI express entry is aligned with the federal express entry category, and the candidates are put in the pool and given a comprehensive ranking system (CRS) score. The high scoring applicants are selected for immigration. The Labour Impact Category requires a valid job offer and is divided into three sub-stream – Skilled workers, Critical workers, and international graduates. In the Business Impact Category, the entrepreneurs submit an EOI profile under the work permit stream.
