PEI PNP holds back largest draw of 2020 on 17 September. Total of 345 candidates were selected across 3 categories of Express Entry, Business Impact, and Labour Impact.
In the latest Draw held on September 17, the Prince Edward Island province invited 345 candidates in all streams. Before this, a large number of invitations were issued to Express Entry and Labour Impact candidates on August 20, through the Prince Edward Island PNP (PEI PNP). Out of the 345 candidates, 313 applicants were from Express Entry and Labour Impact categories, and 32 entrepreneur candidates were invited through PEI’s Business Impact Work Permit Stream. However, there was no clear demarcation on exactly how many appellants were selected from the express entry.
Important Aspects of the Draw - September 17
The Express Entry category of PEI is linked to the federal Express Entry system, and the selected appellants are eligible for 600 bonus points in the federal system. There are three Express entry categories - the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.
The candidates who have an EOI profile with the PEI PNP are considered for the provincial nomination from PEI through Express Entry.
Prince Edward Island has now issued 1,583 invitations to Express Entry and Labour Impact candidates over the last 12 months.
Those appellants with a valid job offer are selected through the Labour Impact Category of PEI. There are three categories in the Labour Impact: Skilled Worker, Critical Worker, and International Graduate. Candidates should have an EOI profile to be considered for a provincial nomination through the Labour Impact Category.
In the latest PEI draw, 32 applicants got selected in the Business Impact Category. The selected candidates required a minimum EOI score of 102. The invitations were under the Work Permit Stream.
