699 Express Entry Candidates selected through the Ontario Provincial Nominee Program

Ontario Provincial Nominee Program selected 699 candidates in the latest draw conducted on June 3rd, 2020. The candidates with work experience in one of the nine listed occupations were selected in this dare. The candidates visited should be eligible under the Express entry human capital priorities stream (HCP).

The nine occupations that were issued the Notification of Interest (NOI) are -

• Financial managers - NOC 0111
• Other Administrative Service managers - NOC 0114
• Advertising, marketing, and Public relations managers - NOC 0124
• Financial Auditors and accountants - NOC 1111
• Other financial officers - NOC 0114
• Professional Occupations in business management and Consulting - NOC 1122
• Registered Nurse and Registered Psychiatric Nurse - NOC 3012
• Other primary health practitioners - NOC 3124
• Dieticians and Nutritionists - NOC 3132

To be shortlisted in the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program, the applicant should have at least one year of work experience and a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 358 and 439. there were at least 167 NOIs given to candidates with work experience in Canada.

In the latest draw, most of the applicants who got selected had done the work abroad. A total of 532 candidates who had international work experience were selected. The CRS score required by these applicants was between 417 and 500 Points.

The target of Ontario Immigration this year is set at 7600 principal Candidates. Out of these 250 nominations should be of temporary workers in intermediate Skilled occupations or the National Occupation Classification (NOC) skill level C. In 2019, Over half of the Ontario provincial nominations i.e., 7391 were of Express Entry Candidates.
