Nova Scotia invites Nurses from Express Entry Pool

The Labor Market Priorities Stream of Nova Scotia invited 430 registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse from the Express Entry Pool on 28th October.

The Province of Nova Scotia conducted the draw on 28th October under the Labor Market Priorities Stream in which registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses with work experience were invited. The total number of invitations sent out under this category was 430.

All the shortlisted candidates had a profile in the Express Entry system. The Labor Market Priorities Stream searched the express entry pool for eligible candidates with adequate work experience and invited them to apply for the PR status of Canada. The selected candidates are also eligible for 600 bonus points in the Express Entry System.

The good part of this draw was that there was no minimum CRS score requirement to be selected in this draw. This was the fifth draw of Nova Scotia in 2019. In the earlier draws, the province had targeted carpenters, financial auditors, and early childhood educators.

The eligibility criterion for Nurses invited by Nova Scotia on 28 October 2019 was-

• The candidate should be a registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse under NOC 3012
• The minimum work experience in the profession should be three years with the letters of reference provided by employers
• The minimum language score is mandatory, and the candidate should have a CLB 8 score or higher in either English or French language
• The minimum educational qualification for selection is possession of a bachelor’s degree. The period of the degree should be at least three years.
• The submission of the express entry profile should have been before 1st November 2018
