Nova Scotia announced the latest draw for French Speaking candidates in which applicants with the CLB score of 8 were selected for immigration.

French Speaking Candidates invited by Nova Scotia in Latest Draw

On 27 April 2020, in the latest provincial nomination draw of Nova Scotia, the French-speaking candidates were invited through the Labor market priorities stream. In the newest draw, Express entry candidates were targeted who had selected French as their first official language and obtained a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 8 (in listening, reading, writing, and speaking).

These candidates are also expected to have a minimum score of CLB 6 in the English language. It will include a bachelor’s degree or a program of three years at a university, college, or technical institute. These candidates also need to have a valid Express entry federal code, and they need to be accepted from the pool.

The minimum required Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score and the letters of Interest are yet to be confirmed. The CRS score will determine rank in the Express Entry pool, and the score will be based on age, language, education, work experience, etc.

The labor market priorities stream allows the Nova Scotia Province to meet the shortage of the labor market through the selection of eligible applicants. Since the stream had been launched in 2018, there have been ten draws in the category, and the applicants were invited in the Early Childhood Education Workers, Financial Auditors, Accountants, Social Workers, and nurses. Nurses and social workers are in very high demand in the Nova Scotia Province.

The selected applicants have 60 days' time to complete the documentation process and submit the complete application to the Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP). The applicants are eligible for 600 bonus points in the Federal Express Entry system if they are selected in the Nova Scotia provincial draw.
