Masters Graduate Stream Reopened by Ontario

In the wake of a large number of skilled immigrants needed in the Ontario province, the region invited 667 new registrations by opening the Masters Graduate stream, and it quickly reached the limit as well. The stream invited application on 30th April 2019.

The Masters Graduate stream is a category under the International graduates which allows an eligible candidate who holds a master’s degree to migrate to the Ontario province with the Canada PR visa.  This is a highly popular stream as it doesn’t require a job offer from a Canadian employer to be eligible for Canada Immigration. This stream was opened earlier on 5th March 2019, and a total of 333 registrations were completed, but due to technical difficulties, it was cut short in the middle. After which the 1000 registrations intake was completed on 30 April 2019 by registering 667 intakes in the month of April.

After the candidate has registered himself in the stream, there is a Confirmation number of the e-filing portal which is allotted to the applicant in three business days. The fee to apply under this stream is CAD 1500. After receiving the confirmation number, the applicant will have 14 days to submit the OINP application after which the application number will expire.

On 1st May 2019 Canada Express Entry Draw announced the CRS cut off of 450

The Canada Express Entry draw was announced on 1st May 2019 and asked for a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score of 450 points from the aspiring applicants for the Canada permanent residency visa. That means all those candidates who secured 450 points or above they are eligible to migrate to Canada. The total number of invitations sent in this Express Entry Draw was 33,50

The Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score announced in this draw was one point less than the score asked in the April 17, Draw which was 451 points. The latest draw was announced after a 14 days gap which is a general time frame taken by the IRCC. The Invitations asked is the same as last time 3,350. There has been a repeated pattern of 3,350 invitations being sent. With this draw the number of applications sent invites in the year 2019 has reached a number of 31,250 which is 6,750 invitations more than the same time last year. The increase in the number of invitations is because of the Canada Immigration Plan 2019 – 2021 as per which the there is a target of inviting 3,40,000 more permanent residents in Canada by the end of the year 2021. With this target of a large number of people being invited to Canada to immigrate there is an expectation of Express Entry Draw score dropping in the draws to come. In this draw, there will be Tie break rule applied which will help select the candidates which will consider the applications sent before 5 November and with the CRS score of 450 and above.

Saskatchewan has been an active province with respect to immigration this year. In the recent provincial draw announced on 1st May 2019, the province invited 202 applicants through Express Entry linked stream and occupation in-demand stream. This is the third notification from the Saskatchewan province since the start of the month of April.

With the Invitation round for Parent and Grandparent stream (PGP) ended the documentation starts

Through the Parent and Grandparent program (PGP) the Canadian government has invited 100 applicants to Canada. This process was undertaken in two phases due to a technical problem in which 333 applications were accepted by from 28th January to 5th March and remaining 667 applications were accepted from 24th April to 27th April 2019.

There is a target of invitation 20,000 applicants through the parent and grandparents Program by the end of 2019 this year. Now with the invitation round over the process has reached the documentation stage in which 60 days will be allotted to the applicants to file their nomination.
