Alberta asks for a CRS cut off of 300 Points for Canada PNP invite 3357 applicants.

This time it is the province of Alberta which has opened gates for skilled workers through the provincial nomination. On 14th May 2019, The province of Alberta announced the express entry linked draws in which the Express Entry candidates with the Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score of 300 were sent ITA (Invitation to Apply) for Canada Permanent Residency. There were a total of 3,357applciations which achieved invites through this draw.

It is the fourteen draw by the Alberta province in the year 2019. In these fourteen draws it was three times that a Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score as low as 300 points were asked from the applicants. The most massive Alberta Draw held this year was on 5th March 2019 in which 473 applications were invited. After the Notification of Interest (NOI) is used to the applicants, the candidates are given 30 days to submit all the documents for a provincial nomination in Alberta. The shortlisted candidates are eligible for the 600 extra points in the express entry profile.

The province of Alberta has a good industry for oil, healthcare service and also Information Technology so that a lot of skilled workers from different professions can find it fruitful to settle in the province.

Now let us look at the highlights of 2019 Alberta Provincial Nomination Program (APNP) -

•    Highest Score asked -  CRS points 400 (asked eight times)

•    Last time score of CRS 400 was asked – 2nd May 2019

•    Least number of NOIs issued – 81 (on 25 Jan 2019)

•    Lowest CRS score – 300 (Asked four times)

•    Maximum NOIs issued – 473 (5th March 2019)

 

Express Entry Trades candidates cut off of 332 points announced on 15th May.

It has been a charming year for the Canada Immigration aspirants with a huge amount of immigration. Now, 500 applications were sent invited through the Federal Skilled Trades class on 15th May through the Express Entry Draws. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) score was announced to be as low as 332 points. This means that all the candidates who secured 332 points or above were selected for the Canada permanent residency visa.

After a long time, the Draw in this stream has been conducted.  The Last draw for the Federal Skilled Trades program was conducted on 24 September 2019. The Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) point score asked this time was however very low as compared to the score asked in September last year, which was 438. This time the CRS score requirements saw a 106 low point score requirement than earlier. The candidates who have experience in a specific and eligible trade are considered for this steam, and it is good if they have the certificate of qualification or the employment offer to be considered on this stream for selection.

For the selection of the candidates, the tie break rule will be applied as usual. Further, the considered National Occupation Classification(NOC) categories for this stream are –

  • Major Group 72 – Industrial, Construction and Electrical
  • Major Group 73 – Maintenance and Equipment operation trade
  • Major Group 82 – Supervisors and Technical jobs in natural resources, production, and agriculture
  • Major Group 92 – Processing, manufacturing and utility supervisor and operators
  • Major Group 632 – Chefs and cook
  • Major Group 633 – Butchers and bakers

On 16th May Prince Edward Island invited 104 applicants

There were 104 invitations sent out by Prince Edward Island on 16th May 2019 in namely three categories – Express Entry, Labor Impact and Business Impact to meet the economic market needs.

Out of the 104 invitations that were sent out there were a total number of 90 invitations being sent from the Express Entry stream and labour Impact stream. For this the applicants were selected through the Expression of Interest(EOI). The candidates were scored out of 100 on the basis of their education, work experience, age, language score and skills. The higher scoring candidates were selected from the EOI pool. However, there was no specification given on out of 90 applicants how many were selected through the express entry and how many were from the labor Impact category. Rest there were 14 candidates who were selected for the Business Impact: work permit and the lowest required score in this category was 107. This category is for candidates who want to own or manage and established business in Prince Edwards.

The shortlisted candidates are also eligible for a 600 CRS pint score in the Express Entry program. Further, it is also speculated that the next Expression of Interest (EOI) draw for the Prince Edward is scheduled on 20 June 2019.

The Maritime Provinces of Canada have witnessed a Population growth in recent years.

Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick together are known as the Maritime Provinces of Canada and in recent years they have witnessed the high growth in the population as per the reports by Atlantic Provinces Economic Council (APEC).

The Prince Edward Island has seen a population growth of two percent over the years since 2016 and as per the report it was also the “Biggest contributor” in the population growth. Nova scotia is number two in the list with the population growth of 0.8 percent which is the fastest since the 1980s time in the province and the next is New Brunswick with the population growth rate of 0.5 each year which is the fastest for the province since the early 1990s.

The only province which has the negative growth rate in the country is Newfoundland and Labrador, whose population has decreased 0.2 percent per year.
