On June 24, 2021, the Canadian government announced the latest Express entry draw with the second-lowest CRS score in the CEC only draw. The Comprehensive Ranking System score requirement (CRS) was set at 357. Canada has the target of welcoming 401,000 new immigrants this year; thus, a lower CRS score in CEC-only draws appears to be a step to meet the goals.

When Will the IRCC conduct the Next All-Program Draw?

The IRCC has conducted only CEC and Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) specific draws in the pandemic time. It is because there is a ninety percent chance that these candidates are already living in Canada. One day before, the IRCC held a PNP-only Express Entry draw in which 1,002 candidates were selected in Express Entry draw.

It cannot be speculated when will the next Express Entry draw be held by the IRCC. But, it is assumed that IRCC will resume all-program draws in the second half of this year. Those who in 2021 will help the residency process be completed by 2022; thus, IRCC can start with all program draws in 2021. Also, it is expected that the Canada Travel restrictions will be eased as fewer coronavirus-related disruptions in the months are expected. Hence, IRCC will be in a stronger position to select applicants from abroad.

With the latest express entry draw, there are 88,715 ITAs so far in 2021. By this time in 2020, the IRCC had issued 46,392 ITAs only. In this year alone, IRCC is planning to invite108,500 new immigrants through Express Entry-managed programs.
