The Express Entry Draw of 5 August 2020 invited 3900 candidates with the CRS score of 476. It was an all-program draw, which required a two pointless score than the all-program Express Entry draw, which was conducted on 8 July 2020. There have been a lot of program-specific draws conducted this year owing to the Coronavirus pandemic.

CRS Score drops in the Express Entry All-Program Draw held on 5 August 2020

An all program Express Entry Draw was announced on 5 August 2020. The draw invited candidates from all the programs to permanent residency. It was a high ITA draw with 3900 Invitation sent for Permanent residency status. The candidates selected required the Comprehensive ranking system (CRS) score of 476 Points in the invitation round.

The Key Highlights of the draw are:

  • CRS score Required - 476
  • ITAs Sent - 3900

For most of the year 2020, The Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has been issuing 3900 ITAs every two weeks. There was a bit of deviation from all programs drawn between 18 March and 8 July, where two specific Draws were targeted - Provincial nomination-specific draws and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draws. On 8 July, an all-program-specific draw was conducted after two program-specific draws were conducted on 22 July and 23 July. It looks like, with this draw, things are slowly returning to normal.

The Latest Express Entry Draw - 5 August 2020

It was the 25th draw of 2020 in which the total Invitations to apply has increased to 61,600. The temporary policy changes have not been able to affect the ITAs issued this year. It has been constant. The beginning of the year started with two draws of 3400 each in January, followed by 3500 ITAs and a record-breaking 4500 in February. Since March, there have been 21 draws conducted.

The minimum CRS score required in the 5th August draw was two points less than the previous all program draw of 8 July in which a score of 478 was asked. It means all those candidates who secured 476 points in this draw are shortlisted for immigration. Just like the other draws this time as well, the tiebreak rule was applied with effect from 27 July 2020 at 01:02:47 UTC. The tie break rule helps rank the applicants with the same CRS score.
