The latest express entry draw was announced, and the CRs score requirement is set at 469 points. It is one of those few rare occasions when the CRS cut off has been recorded lower than 470 points.
In the Express Entry all-program draw, the Cut off has been dropped to 470 points. Candidates require a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 469 in the latest November 25 invitation round. There were 5000 Applicants invited, which has tied the Invitations to Apply (ITAs) issued with the single draw.
Express Entry Program has three subcategories: Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class. The high scoring applicants are selected based on the CRS points and selection factors: age, education, work experience, and language ability in English or French. The new draw brings the total number of ITAs issued in 2020 to 97350. It is turning out to be a record-breaking year where the ITAs issued are highest ever. The previous Express Entry draw also saw the record-breaking ITAs being issued 5000. A large number of ITAs that have been issued are in line with Canada's commitment to welcome over 4,00,000 new immigrants in the year 2021.
IRCC has applied the tie-breaking rule. It was applied for the profiles submitted before October 15, 2020, at 08:50:10 UTC for the applicants who have the CRS score of 469 or above. This year the CRS score requirement was around 470 points, but this is one occasion when the CRS score required is less than 470. The applicants selected in the PNP draw are eligible for 600 bonus points in the Express Entry Draw.
