One of the recent initiatives by the Canada Government, The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program, which is expected to increase the influx of immigration in rural regions and is highly anticipated, has displayed a delay in proceedings. Five out of eleven communities have not started the proceedings until now as against the expected date of admissions was January 1, 2020.
The year 2020 has opened with a shocking revelation. the Rural and Northern Immigration pilot program proceedings have been delayed for five communities out of the eleven communities that were supposed to start accepting the applications form January 1, 2020. Now, the process will take a preparation time of at least one more month before the process will begin in full swing.
The communities whose proceedings have been delayed are -
Added to the list is Sudbury, which was supposed to start the proceedings on November 1, but there is still no sign of applications being accepted. This delay in proceedings is also applicable to Thunder Bay, who was supposed to be in full swing by January 2, but the website doesn’t offer any updated information. However, Claresholm Alberta has already stated that proceedings will not start till the end of Feb 2020. The economic development officer at Claresholsm Mr. Brady Schnell has recently stated in an interview that those candidates who have already contacted the local employers and have visited town already they will be the first ones to be considered when the review process for the community will start.
Further, there is speculation that for North Bay and Timmins Ontario, the proceedings will not start till the end of January. For West Kootenay, British Columbia, the proceedings will begin in March.
