The latest 164th draw of Canada express entry was announced on September 30th, in which 4200 got ITAs. A lot of Federal Skilled Worker Program candidates were selected, and it was the third consecutive draw of the province for the program. The minimum required Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in the draw was 471 Points. It is one point less score requirement than the previous all-program draw, which was held on September 16th.

The massive count of Invitations to Apply (ITA) issued is a clear indication that Canada is committed to welcoming immigrants' high level in 2021. This was an all program Express Entry draw. That means the applicants were selected from all the three economic-class immigration programs - the Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSW), Federal Skilled Trades Class (FST), and Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
The highest scoring applicants are selected from the Express Entry pool based on their CRs score. The factors that help calculate these scores are age, work experience, education level, and proficiency in French or English.
The tie-breaking rule was applied in the September 30th draw on March 2nd, 2020, at 12:37:25 UTC. This makes the applicant who had submitted their profile before this date and time and also has a CRS score of 471 eligible to be selected.
The latest September 30th draw brings the total number of ITAs sent so far to 78,350 in 2020, much more than the 69,420 issued in 2017. It is considered another record-breaking year for Express Entry.
